Philip W. Fisher was born on November 6, 1934, to Philip and Cleo Fisher.  After graduation from New York Fashion High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  While in the military, he rose to the rank of Chief Master Sargent.  Philip served his country proudly for 28 years and earned a host of commendations and awards.  He said, "Some of my fondest memories are the experiences I had at various locations around the world.”

Philip wed the love of his life, Patricia Pearson, on September 21, 1957. They were married for 63 years.  He was the proud father of three daughters, eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.  After retiring from the Air Force, Philip started his career as an insurance agent with Aetna Life.  He continued his education at Texas Christian University and Tarrant County Community College, where he earned his Associate Degree.  Philip was affectionately known as "Brother."  He was one of a kind: a strong-willed, opinionated man with a unique, charismatic personality.  He had a style that defined and set him apart.  An avid sports fan, Philip loved coaching in his grandson's summer basketball league.  The greatest joy in his life was family, his wife, children, and grandchildren.  When asked who had the most significant effect on him, Philip said, "My mother and naturally my wife Pat, who always looks after my best interest and is my trusted counsel."  He was very generous and always willing to lend a hand to those in need.  Philip proudly donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and several other charities.  He was very proud to have taken part in President Barack Obama's campaign and witness the inauguration of the first black president of the United States.  Philip was a man who paid it forward all his life.  For this, he gained the utmost respect and has earned God's heavenly favor.  "Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren; you have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Ann Logan, Alice Paul, and Cleo Fures.

Survivors:  Philip is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Fisher; sister, Mildred Harris; daughters, Dianne Fisher, Sandra Brown (Ernest), and Jackie Anthony (Vaughn).  He was the loving grandfather of Philip Branch, Quinton Branch (Brittany), Evan Brown, Alesha Anthony, Ashley Hamilton (Aadrian), Ernest D. Brown, Justin Brown, Candace Lewis (John), and 11 great-grandchildren.
