Nathaniel Cooper, 87, passed away January 31, 2022, from complications of COVID-19.

Nathaniel, or “Nat”, as he was called, or “Junior” to his siblings, was born in Enid, Oklahoma on April 23, 1934. He attended Booker T. Washington. Nat enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school.  He retired after 20 years of service.  Nat then finished his working career at USPS, the JNRB Gymnasium, and the Kimball Art Museum.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jesse; grandmother, Lerlie; sister, Sharon; and grandsons, Christopher, and William Cooper.

Nat is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bennie; sons, Dewayne, and Larry Cooper; brothers, Robert, Kayo, and Carl Ray; sister, Joyce; grandchildren, Ridge, Mariah, Jared, J R, Mark, and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jael, and Janell; and his caregiver, Aida and the Apduhan family.
