Katina Alexaki Buster, 87 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 in Fort Worth.

Funeral Service:  10:30 a.m., Friday, May 14th at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2020 NW 21st Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76164.  Visitation:  6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13th at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road in Benbrook, Texas 76126.  Burial:  10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18th at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.

Katina was born in Rethimno, city in Crete, Greece on March 19, 1934. She was a proud older sister to her four brothers, Manolis, Petros, Elias, and Vagelli Alexaki.  In 1959, she married the love of her life, Billy from Paris Texas, in Athens, Greece while he was serving in the Air Force. They had their first daughter, Anna while in Athens in 1960 before moving to Texas. In 1963 they had their second daughter, Maria and started building their life in Texas. Because of her love for people, she found her beloved St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church where she served in Daughters of Penelope, sang in the choir, cooked, and danced at numerous Greek Festivals for years to come. You knew you were always welcome for a good cup of Greek coffee and wonderful conversation in her home. She blessed everyone she met with her infectious smile and sweet spirit. Her pride and joy were her granddaughters and great grandchildren. She will be incredibly missed by many loved ones on earth but is rejoicing in Heaven with her husband, parents, and our Lord, Jesus.

Katina is survived by her two daughters, Anna Thornton of Saginaw, and Maria McClelland and husband, James, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Stephanie Noble and husband, Reagan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Melanie Laymance and husband Mitch of Saginaw; Katina Hodkinson, and Connor McClelland; and great-grandchildren, Nikolas and Lilly Noble.
