Jean Baker

Jean Elizabeth Baker was born on September 16, 1932, in Ithaca, New York. She died on March 26, 2022, in Weatherford, Texas. She was the daughter of Mildred Miller and Kenneth VanDyne. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Baker, two daughters, Sherri Baxter and Debbie Masters, and grandson, Eric Stone.  She is survived by her sister, Susan Hopkins; nephew, Albert Miller; niece, Helen McGinn; niece, Kathleen Aronson and her husband, Tim; and great-niece Candace McGinn.

Jean's family was her biggest JOY! From the age of 18, when she became a wife, our Mom and Dad began a 66-year long life together, filled with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her life was a journey of family, love, and a whole lot of fun. Those 66 years now make up over 100 people, which is just too amazing not to share.

Eight children - Six daughters and two sons. What follows is a legacy that was grounded in love and great faith.

That's a big beginning, but not even close to the blessing after blessing she would receive and be a part of. This is the legacy of her family that she believed would carry on for generations.

Her memory will live on in so many ways - the meals/recipes she made with such love, her love of nature, ceramics, puzzles, and so many more memories. Our Momma loved her sweets, so in her memory, we'd love you to share a hot fudge sundae or split a candy bar with someone you love.

A private funeral will be held on April 2nd, for the family. If you’d like to send flowers or a donation to your favorite charity in her name.
