Gayla Lynch

Gayla Marie Lynch, 80, of Benbrook, and longtime resident of Lubbock, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Graveside services:  10:30 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Benbrook Cemetery, Benbrook, Texas.

Gayla was born October 31, 1940 in Santa Anna, Texas to D.V Smith, Jr. and Elna Barton Smith.  She married Jon Lynch in 1956 and they raised two daughters in Lubbock.  Gayla enjoyed a career in sales and marketing for retirement communities.  But her greatest love and joy came from her devotion to her family and friends.

Gayla was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her five siblings.

She leaves behind her two daughters, Lisa Lynch of Benbrook and Teresa Busby of Benbrook; grandson, Brandon Busby of Bronte; granddaughter, Shasta Mills of Fort Worth; five great-grandchildren; nine nieces, and nephews; and many close friends.
