Gary Rogers

Gary Lee Rogers, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2021.  Gary was born October 31, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas, where he was also raised.  He married the one true love of his life, Cynthia Smith on December 26, 1984, and together, they raised a beautiful family that he was extremely proud of.

Gary loved being a Paw Paw and was all about enjoying time with them.  His love of music spanned throughout his lifetime, and he enjoyed playing his guitars and teaching his boys to do the same when they were young.  Fishing was also something he really enjoyed with anyone that would go with him.  He leaves behind lots of bad jokes and smiles and will be missed beyond measure.

Gary was preceded in death by his son, Cory Alan Rogers, his mother, Dorothy L. Rogers, and siblings, Patricia and Roy Rogers.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Rogers; his children and their families, Justin Rogers and wife, Katie, Chuck Wolfrays, Jenny Whiteley, and Taylor Johnston; his grandchildren and great-grandchild, which were his pride and joy; Cody Whiteley and wife, Ashley, Toni Stark, Griffin Dean, Barrett John, Hazel Louise, Ryder Lee, Levi Alan, and Grayson Rhett; his brother, Kenny Rogers; his sister, Angela Stetson; and several nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life:  1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Highridge Church, 10100 Rolling Hills Drive, Benbrook, Texas 76126.

A Private Graveside Service for Gary and Cory will be held at Annetta Cemetery at a later date.
