Erie Lee “Pete” Tucker, 90, formerly of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away August 18, 2022, in Marquette, Michigan.
Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126. Burial with military honors: 2:15 p.m., Wednesday at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas 75211. Visitation: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, prior to his funeral service.
Pete was born February 15, 1932, in Carbon, Texas to the late Erie Thomas Tucker and Jerusha Emeline Fields Tucker. He was married to Gloria “Presh” Moseley for 66 years until her death in 2017. He served in the Air Force from 1949 to 1953. He later became an auctioneer. He loved the Lord and was a devout Christian, leading the singing at several churches.
Pete is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; four brothers, T.J., Walter, Jack, and John Dee Tucker; sister, Bessie Holliday; grandsons, Christopher Lee Tucker, and Richard Wehner Jr.; and great-granddaughters, Layloni Trevethan, and Maegen Elvington.
Survivors include his brother, Fred Tucker of Eastland, Texas; three children, Suzanne Tucker Wehner and husband, Richard of Gwinn, Michigan; Forrest L. Tucker of Tucson, Arizona; and Jerry Dean Tucker of Abilene, Texas; grandchildren, Melanie (Kyle) Elvington, Ginger Richerson, Kari Ellis, Kori Wehner, Rosemary Keinonen, Naomi Tucker, Heidi Trevethan, Charity Franco, David Tucker, and Emily Smith; great-grandchildren, Zackery and Joshua Shoemaker, Kalli Bolitho, Kyra Smith, Kristofer Bouchard, Gabriella Celaya, Rhys Trevethan, David, Vanessa, and Natalie Franco, Nathan and Lily Tucker, Blakenie Smith, Aryssa Brown, and Boston Kitchens; great-great-grandchildren, Westley, Nolen, Braxton, and Arwen Shoemaker, Weston and Danielle Shoemaker, Desmond Bouchard, and August Britt.
