Elizabeth “Bettye” Sue Ingram of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on August 20, 2022, at the age of 88, after a brief battle with cancer.

Elizabeth Sue Brantley was born on October 24, 1933 into the loving family of Charles and Corrine Brantley in Curtis, Arkansas.  She grew up with seven brothers and sisters.  Bettye shared her love of family throughout her life with the entire Brantley family and enjoyed going to the yearly reunions and family get togethers.

After graduating from Pioneer High School in 1951, she went on to study at Louisiana Business College.  On January 1, 1954, Bettye married Fabe Ingram Jr.  Soon after marriage, Fabe was sent out of the country with the Army while Bettye stayed in Houston, Texas working for Bell Telephone.  They had two children and eventually settled in West Monroe, Louisiana.  The family moved to Fort Worth in 1973.  Bettye and Fabe were married for 23 wonderful years until Fabe’s sudden passing in 1977.

Bettye earned her Associates Degree from Tarrant County Junior College in 1981 and continued her education at Texas Christian University.  She studied Business and Accounting and partnered with Tyson Building Corporation in 1993 where she was company Treasurer and Accountant.  Bettye worked with Tyson for 28 years, only retiring due to health concerns in Fall 2021.  She cherished the friendships she made during her tenure with Tyson and considered them all as part of her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Fabe Ingram Jr.; parents, Charles and Corrine Brantley; brothers, Kenneth Brantley, Bobby Brantley, Charles Brantley, and Wayne Brantley; sister, Peggy Johnson; great-grandson, Sawyer Romero; and her special friend, Sidney Achee.
