Dana was born and raised in Baytown Texas.  She attended Robert E. Lee High School, the University of Arkansas and graduated from Sam Houston State University in Texas.  Dana started her career as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines flying out of Washington D.C.  She then spent many years as an accountant before retiring.

Dana had many friends growing up in Baytown.  Her life-long friend, Mikell Long, was and is to this day, like a sister to her.  They were friends from toddlers.

Always up for an adventure, Dana moved to Lake Tahoe after her stent as a Flight Attendant and worked in the payroll department at Harvey’s Casino before moving to the Bay Area in California.  She would later move back to Texas, she said to find a husband.

She met her husband, Jack Davis, while working as Accounting Manager at SIE in Benbrook, Texas before moving back to the Bay Area in California with Jack.  She made lots of friends there as well, including her husband’s Air National Guard Family.   She stayed busy shopping and traveling with her group of friends.  They called themselves the “Golden Girls”.  Of course, Mikell would visit from time to time to join the fun.

Dana loved traveling almost as much as shopping.  She and her husband got to travel a lot, spending time in Paris, Hawaii, Germany, Switzerland, and many other places before Multiple Sclerosis forced her to give up traveling.  Dana and Jack moved back to Fort Worth where Dana spent her final years battling her disease.  Her attitude remained positive to the end.  She took her last breaths with her husband holding her hand and touching her face, with her stepdaughter, Christy at her side.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents, William Woodrow Gann, and Dana Lee Williams Gann, and her brother, Terry Talent.

Survivors:  Husband, Jack Davis; stepdaughter, Christy Davis; stepson, Clifton Davis; step-grandsons, Terrence and Jordan Lambert; step-granddaughter, Cassie Lambert; nine step-great-grandchildren; several cousins; and many friends.
