Chelsea Bouldin

May 3, 1986 — June 18, 2022

Fort Worth

Chelsea Gonzales Bouldin, 36, a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, departed from this world on June 18, 2022, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

She was born Chelsea Jeanne Gonzales to Oscar and Jeanna Gonzales on May 3, 1986, in Dallas. She grew up in Irving where she played softball and was a Girl Scout. Married at a young age, Chelsea and her first husband, Willie Gilmore, had a daughter named Brooklyn.  After they divorced in 2008, Chelsea met and married Jeffry Bouldin, with whom she would have six more children, Emma, Annabel, Lewis, Jeffry, Eleanor, and Amelia.

Chelsea was always hard working and especially devoted to any job or group with which she was a part. She had risen to the position of restaurant general manager in less than a year before becoming a full-time mom. After a decade, she went back to work as a GIS Technician or “cartographer” as she liked to say jokingly. She had been an enthusiastic member of her church as both a volunteer and worshiper. In her community, she was Benbrook’s first Girl Scout troop leader, and she had volunteered at the animal shelter. She always loved watching and taking care of the dogs of friends. She was an excellent cook and artist. Chelsea served both veterans and youths in Fort Worth as a Companion in the Military Order of the World Wars. Whether making purses for military spouses or cloth masks for neighbors, her skills were always in demand. Chelsea regularly jumped into DIY projects and loved fixing things herself. Her reliability, good humor, and down-to-earth charm made her a beloved friend to all who knew her. In her spare time, she enjoyed movies, country music, arts and crafts, cooking, reading, and gardening.

Chelsea was preceded in death by premature twin sons, Lewis and Jeffry, her sister, Belen Gonzales Brinkley; grandparents, Herbert and Joyce Roller, and Beatriz Gonzales; nephew, Joseph Gonzales; and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband; her five daughters, Brooklyn, Emma, Annabel, Eleanor, and Amelia; her stepson, John; her parents; her brothers, Oscar, and Anthony; her sisters, Liza Guerra, and Leatriz Tubbs and husband, Curtis; and many more cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church, 917 Lamar Street, Fort Worth, 76102.
