Carla Plechus

Carla Michele Moore Plechus, 47, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022, in Mansfield, Texas. She was surrounded in love by her closest family members.

Carla was born on May 27, 1974, in Arlington, Texas to Charles Ress Moore and April Marie Moore. She spent her childhood years in Arlington where she met many lifelong friends. Carla graduated from Arlington High School in 1992. She loved her family more than anything. She married her husband, Scott Plechus, in May of 2000, and together they enjoyed over 21 years of marriage. Carla devoted her adult life to her biggest passion, which was being a mom to her three children, and then eventually a Grammy to her grandsons. Carla was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, Grammy, niece, cousin, and friend. She will always be remembered for her kindness, her sweet spirit, her love for animals, especially her cats, and her funny sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Grandpa Max and Granny Lou Moore; her maternal grandparents, Papaw and Nana Moore; brother, Charles Robert “Rob” Moore; cousins, Kamron Leigh Moore, Christopher Brent Moore, and David Landry Hopkins; and uncle, Jim Moore.

Carla is survived by her parents, Charles “Chuck” and April Moore; husband, Scott Plechus; daughter, Caitlin Brisendine, and fiancé, Hammad Abbasi; sons, Ryan Brisendine, and Connor Plechus; mother-in-law, Cathy Burgess; father-in-law, Greg Plechus and wife, Pamela Plechus; grandsons, Caycen Cook, and Camden Cook; and countless other family members and friends, too numerous to mention.
