He became the first registered EMT in the Fort Worth Fire Department in 1972. Brian was the firehall cook and loved cooking for his crew. He often said he was fortunate and blessed to have a career that he loved.
Brian was an avid hunter and spent many days at the family acreage in Jacksboro, Texas. His German Shepherd, Sadie, often accompanied him. He had his HAM Radio License and enjoyed talking to people all over the country.
In December 1981 he met Gail, the love of his life. Four months later they were married. He was a wonderful husband and father. Brian will be remembered for the love he always showed for his wife, his children, and friends. If you were his friend, you knew he would be there if needed.
Brian is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Gail Sarap; daughter, Jennifer; son, Jeremy; grandson, Noah; brother, Mike; sister-in-law, Sue; nephew Mikey; niece, Stephanie; and all his fellow firefighters and hunting buddies, whom he loved.
