Wanda Keppard

July 5, 1960 — February 23, 2017

Wanda Fay Walker Keppard was born July 5, 1960 in New Orleans, LA to Rev Edmond Walker Sr and the late Zuelee Caston Walker; the youngest of 7 children. Wanda accepted Jesus Christ at a young child and was an active member of her family church in Marrero, LA where she served as an usher. In 1986, Wanda met Sidney Keppard and they were married in 1989. In 2005, Wanda and Sidney moved to Fort Worth, TX.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday at International Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6300 Cromwell-Marine Creek Road, Fort Worth. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Wanda loved to cook and shop, but most of all she loved her family. She was an encourager to everyone she met. Her gift of communicating with others, coupled with grace and her charismatic personality; she would lift the spirits of fellow patients and staff while residing in the hospital.

Her great beauty was an asset, however her elegance and charm always stood out. Besides being very creative, Wanda had a knack and keen ability to décorate the home. She believed in perfection; which was highly stressed and adhered to by all. One of her greatest assets was her loyalty, commitment and dedication to improving the lives of others.

Wanda was preceded in death by her mother, Zuelee Walker and a son, Samuel Keppard.

Survivors: Husband of 27 years, Sidney Keppard; Children, Ramona Keppard, Roselyn Keppard (Lucien Tolbert), Sidney Keppard III (Valeska Keppard), Jamien Walker (Lacie Walker) and Kendrick Walker. Grandchildren, Desmond Keppard, Caleb Tolbert, Lael Tolbert, Desmon Magee, Jeremiah Keppard, Jamien Walker, Jr., Jamiel Walker, Charles Walker, Drake Walker, Kenniece Walker, Robin Raymond and Chelsea Moses; Siblings, Edmond Walker, Jr., Bernard Walker Gregory Walker, Jeffrey Walker, Anita Kennedy and Bonita Keppard. Father and stepmother, Rev Edmond Walker, Sr., and Josephine Walker, Father and mother-in-law, Sidney Keppard, Sr. and Ora Lee Keppard, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of loving church family and friends.
