Wanda Joiner, 93, passed from this life to her Heavenly home on April 2, 2021.
Funeral service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7th at Heritage Baptist Church, 400 Davidson St., Benbrook, Texas 76126. Interment following at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth. The family requests that masks be worn for her services.
Wanda was born April 26, 1927 in Boswell, Okla. to Chester and Lee Draper. She married the love of her life, Morris Joiner, on December 29, 1945. They moved to Texas and lived there most of their life. She was a stay-at-home mom to their three daughters, but always a right-hand “man” to her husband.
Wanda was blessed with eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She became “Moodle” to all of them. As a little girl she always called little babies “little moodle-heads”. So, it seemed fitting she became Moodle. She loved her family and they loved her. She would tell them stories of her life and loved to laugh with us all.
Wanda was active in her church for many years. Rocking babies in the nursery, to setting up for church fellowships. She loved her Lord.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Morris Joiner; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters. What a reunion they must be having.
Wanda is survived by her three daughters, Kay and Butch Clark, Connie and Montie Pentecost, and Marilyn and Joe Bratcher; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Buddy Draper; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
When King David’s little son died, he said “I can’t bring him back, but I can go to him one day.” We rejoice in knowing we will see her again one day. What a hope we have thru our Lord Jesus.
