Wanda Margaret Fell (née Glisson) was born on September 17, 1927, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to Hubert Homer Glisson and Pauline Chandler Glisson. She passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Wanda was a woman who never minced words—she was known for her honesty, sharp wit, and unwavering authenticity. She said what she meant and meant what she said, a trait that endeared her to those who truly knew her.
Wanda shared a rich life with her husband William, filled with adventure and simplicity. Together, they cherished the open road in their motor home, always eager for a trip to the lake, fishing poles in hand. At home, Wanda could often be found in her room playing cards or down in the dining room enjoying bingo with her friends. Her apartment stood as a testament to her competitive spirit, often filled with her many bingo prizes.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Pauline Chandler Glisson and Hubert Homer Glisson, as well as her brothers, Neal Glisson and Donald Glisson, and husband William Dwayne Fell.
Wanda leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Fell Walsh, and her husband Thomas B. Walsh; her son, Robert William Fell, and his wife June Knight Fell; and six grandchildren who brought her great pride and joy: Jason Berndt, Kristen Berndt Ryan, Heidi Berndt Simon, Shannon Fell Robertson, Natalie Fell Elliott, and Chelsea Haskins.
Wanda will be remembered for her straightforward spirit, her deep love for family, and the quiet joy she found in life’s simple pleasures. She will be dearly missed.
