Spencer Harris

February 19, 1964 — October 23, 2020

Spencer Ray Harris was born on February 19, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he grew up and lived most of his life except when he briefly lived in Cedarville, Arkansas. He grew up in Southwayside Baptist Church, attended Paschal High School, graduated from Cedarville High School, and briefly served in the U.S. Navy before returning to Texas.

Spencer began working at Montgomery Ward, where he met his wife. He bought his first home at age nineteen and started his family and marriage by age twenty. His God-given talent sealed his career as Mr. Fix It. He soon began working at Bruner Kirby Company, where he increased his skill as a handyman, which led him to open his first business, Vacuum's Etc. By age thirty, he owned two houses and became a Landlord as well. Lastly, he dedicated years of service to Dillard's Warehouse.

Spencer loved his family, his roses, always planting them at each house he owned. Worked all his life tirelessly, grew up too fast, and left too soon.

Spencer is survived by his mother, Becky Ann Scott and step-father, Jack Wilkins. Spencer's pride and joy were his three children; sons, Chris and wife Aimee and Josh and wife Veronica, and his darling daughter Nikki and husband, James. His only brother, Keith Coughlin and wife Lori. His grandchildren; Dylan, Lizzy, Emily, and baby Charles. Uncle to Bethany and Preston. Mother of his children, Trudy and numerous step-siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins but especially Jennifer Smith, his best friend.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Harris and his grandmother, Lois Wyatt, also known as Grandma to some and Mimi to many, in Glory.

Memorial service will be held at Michael Feely Memorial Chapel located at Winscott Road Funeral Home, at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020.
