Shawna Ward

Shawna Ward, 52, passed peacefully on December 6, 2021, with loved ones by her side.

She was born October 27, 1969 in Waco, Texas.  Shawna graduated from Western Hills High School in 1987.  She then obtained a bachelor’s degree at TCU and worked as a lab director at many hospitals.  Shawna loved to go camping with her daughter’s girl scouts’ troops. She loved going to the beach and spending quality time with family and friends.

Shawna was preceded in death by her stepmom, Debbie Griggs; grandparents, Jean and Carl Griggs; grandfather, Billy Grisham; and brother, Quinton Dougan.

Survivors:  Shawna is survived by her daughters, Allison Ward and Kate Ward; mom, Kathy Dougan; stepdad, Quint Dougan; dad, Carl Griggs; husband, John Ward; grandmother, Betty Grisham; brother, Jason Dougan; sister, Jessica King; sisters, Tammi Griggs, and Brandi Griggs; nephews, Austin and Blake Katzenberg, Maxwell King, and Dakota Richardson; niece, Oliva King; and other family members and friends.

Memorial Service:  1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126.
