Sharon Gibbs

Sharon Marie Gibbs, 76, a long time resident of Granbury, lost her fight with cancer on August 6, 2019.

A memorial service will be held in DeSoto, Missouri. Plans have not been finalized.

Sharon was born in Elma, Washington to Orville and Evelyn Dotson. She was the third of five children. Of all Sharon’s professional and personal accomplishments, her most cherished were her family. Her admonition to “be quiet and bond” will echo among the family legends for a long while. One of Sharon’s last wishes was for her family to know “She did the best she could”.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and oldest brother, Ronald.

Survivors: Sharon is survived by three brothers, Donald, Dennis and Elvin, all of Washington, and one sister, Sherian Tuntland of Oregon. Sharon is also survived by the love of her life, her husband of 38 years, Terry Gibbs; three sons, Andrew V. Smith of Texas, Ronald James Smith (Crystal) of Washington, and Martin O. Smith of Texas; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Smith (Lyndi) of Texas, Jimmy Rankin (Candace) of Texas, Christopher Smith (Mindy) of Texas, Joseph Smith (Rebecca) of Texas, Joshua Smith of Texas, Mystelle Smith of Washington, and Shayla Smith of Texas; three adopted granddaughters, Abigail Gardner, Victoria Green and Jordan Charles, all of Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Davon, Taylor, Kohen, Tarah, and Valkyrie, all of Texas.
