Roy Woodard

BURLESON -- Roy "Woody" Woodard, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his Burleson residence on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Interment: Georges Creek Cemetery, Somervell County. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Roy "Woody" Woodard was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Fort Worth, son of the late Roy and Olmer Woodard. He graduated with the class of 1961 from C F Brewer High School and retired from CF Freightways after 33 years of dedicated service as a truck driver. A very loving and generous (definitely funny) man who never met a stranger, he will be missed by a score of family and friends that loved him.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Waylon and Benny Woodard.
Survivors: Loving wife, Kathy Woodard; step-children, Scott Hamilton and wife, Rebecca, and Misty Barnard and husband, Jason; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his best friend, Johnny Brown; and a host of loving family and friends.
