BENBROOK -- Roy V. Stults, 87, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Roy Vernon Stults Sr. was born April 21, 1928, in Weatherford, son of the late Pickard and Jewel Parks Stults. He served his country with dedication and distinction in the U.S. Army and was discharged after having been in Korea. Roy began his career in the jewelry business in his late teen years and retired after more than 50 years of service in Fort Worth. He was a lifetime member and former vice president of several terms of the Arlington Gem and Mineral Club.
Roy and Ruth celebrated 35 years together.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Ruth Cress of Benbrook; children, Roy Stults Jr. of Fort Worth, Sandra Dawn Johnson of Fort Worth, Susan Howie of Southlake, Denver Cress and wife, Kim, of Godley and Tracy Cress of Granbury; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Dollye Sebastian and husband, Clayton, of Fort Worth, Deloris Sellah of Maryland, Evelyn Gore and husband, Jim, of Flower Mound and Toni Armstrong of Fort Worth; special friend, Tammy Cress of White Settlement; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
