Roger Smothers

Roger Dale Smothers, 50, of River Oaks, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2018 in Fort Worth.
Funeral service: 3:00 p.m., Saturday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126.
Roger was born January 6, 1968 in Odessa, Texas to Herbert Smothers and Mary Fletcher Smothers. He was a wrecker driver and forklift operator for Manheim DFW Auto Auction for 21 years. Roger loved fishing and playing at the casino. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Loving wife of 30 years, Cheryl Smothers; sons, Aaron Holland and wife, April, Andrew Jones and wife, Gabby, and Andy Thompson; daughters, Ashley Lindsey and wife, Kristen, Amanda Hyatt and husband, Tristen, and Ava Tate; sister, Melissa Barton and husband, Jim; brother Eddie Smothers and wife, Opal; eight grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
