Roger Ajizian, 61, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 in Fort Worth.
Funeral mass: 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 3601 Alta Mesa Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76133. Visitation: 6 to 7 p.m., Friday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, 76126. Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roger's life.

Roger “Rogé” Ajizian died peacefully with his family and friends on Tuesday September 6, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of sixty-one. Roger is survived by his mother, Berjouhie; wife, Gilda; son, Patrick; siblings, Richard, Charlie, and Sophie. He is preceded in death by his father, Stephan Ajizian. Roger was born on January 23rd, 1955 in Beirut, Lebanon to Berjouhie and Stephan Ajizian. He married Gilda Fiani, college sweetheart in 1983. In 1984, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas and over the next four years, the couple welcomed Patrick into their home and set about teaching him the intricacies of life. His son remembers him as being a selfless and driven father and gentleman that displayed love and loyalty to his family, friends and colleagues daily. His bright blue eyes could light up any room and his smile could melt any heart. He was a simple man that enjoyed the company of his family and friends and a nice bite of halawa (Middle Eastern confection) or a smooth glass of scotch. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed: cooking meals from different cuisines and would often compete with his wife, playing basketball, tennis, cards and swimming, reading and watching the news about his home country, Lebanon, and fixing things around the house or in the yard. He was taught to work hard for everything he wanted and would generously share everything he had. He never once thought about himself or asked for anything in return, but did everything for his family and friends knowing they would be happier and better off than they were yesterday.
