Robert Knabe

AZLE -- Robert “Bubba” David Knabe, beloved husband, father, and friend left this world Thursday afternoon, Feb. 26, 2015, after three and a half years of several health issues.
Robert was born in Waukesha, Wis., lived in Charleston, S.C. until he joined the Air Force, which he served for six years. He came to Fort Worth to work at General Dynamics in 1978, and has been a resident of Azle since 1985. In 1984 he went to work with his friends and colleagues at Applied Systems Engineering, an engineering firm, and worked there until his death. Robert lived a good life, and fought a good fight. May he rest in peace.
Survivors: Loving wife, Janie Smith; son, Robert David Knabe Jr. and Rachel; daughter, Carrie Knabe Dominguez and husband, Mario; stepdaughter, Lauri Vise; father, Herman G W Knabe; stepmother, Ursela Knabe; sister, Lynne Briggs and husband, Doug; brother, Fred Knabe and wife, Rose; grandchildren, Ashali Vise, Katrina Guzman, Adrian Dominguez, Arianna Dominguez, Kali Knabe, and David Knabe; several nieces and nephews; many friends and colleagues.
