Robert Alderson

Robert James Alderson, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Funeral service: 5:30 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126.

Robert or "Bob" as he was known by family and friends was born in Oklahoma City, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma on July 19, 1955. Bob served with pride and honor in the U.S. Air Force and National Guard, and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He was a skilled optician for over 40 years and made sure family and friends could see, with tireless and unselfish effort.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, James Lee Alderson and Laurel Ann Tesseo Alderson, brother, Ron Alderson, and sister, Carolyn Jackson.

Survivors: Bob is survived by wife of nearly 30 years, Shyrrel Alderson; brothers, Bill Alderson, John Alderson, Jimmy Alderson and Matthew Pinnell; daughters, Samantha Gibson, Rebecca Alderson, and future son-in-law, Hugo Mejia; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ann, Brittany Elizabeth, Alexis Shea, Maverick Kingston, and Ember Marie.
