Ralph Benson

FORT WORTH -- Ralph Tremaine Benson, 87, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015.
Graveside service: 2:15 p.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.
Ralph was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Yankton, S.D. He served his country faithfully in both the Navy and the Air Force, from which he honorably retired. Ralph loved to travel and flew his own airplane for many years. He and his wife, Kay, took dancing lessons and danced together for 62 years. Ralph loved to be climbed upon by his great-grandchildren and always ended a visit with "come see us again."
Ralph was preceded in death by daughters, Dianne Clemonds and Louise Gaskill.
Survivors: His wife, Kay; daughter, Carole Benson; son-in-law, Steve Gaskill; granddaughter, Allison Bailey and husband, Aaron; grandson, Stephen Gaskill and wife, Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Abigail Bailey, and Graham and Rowan Gaskill; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
