Phillip L. Duncan, 75, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on October 29th, 2025.
Phillip was born on September 5th, 1950, to Mack and Nancy Duncan, along with his siblings, Lynn Todd of Allendale Michigan, and David (Violet) Duncan of Violet, Louisiana. Phillip is also survived by his stepmother, Helen Duncan of Centralia, Illinois.
On July 25th, 1969, Phillip married Diane. Together they raised two children, Phillip Brent Duncan of Arlington, Viriginia, and Amy Lynn Poynter of Indianapolis, Indiana. Phillip and Diane shared a wonderful 56 years of marriage and enjoyed a life of adventure and discovery.
Phillip was an avid learner, a lover of knowledge, and a brilliant storyteller with an imagination that simply could not be rivalled. A veteran with five separate college degrees, his legacy is one of perseverance and continued self-growth. Phillip touched many lives with his wisdom and humor alike, which will now live through those who were privileged enough to know and love him.
He is survived by many family members by whom he will be mourned and missed, including his sisters-in-law, Cathy O'Neal of Azle, Texas, and Amber (David) Owens of Plainfield, Indiana. He will also be survived by his granddaughters, Natalie Poynter of Fort Worth, Texas, and Nicole (Travis) Albright of Roachdale, Indiana.
Phillip will continue to be memorialized through the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who knew him, a testament to the love surrounding him, and that he surrounded others with.
Known for his strong will, unwavering wit, and love for his family, Phillip's loss will be felt by many for a lifetime.
