Patricia Clayton

Mrs. Patricia (Meme) Clayton, 73, of Benbrook, passed away Sunday morning, August 2, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 6th in Benbrook Cemetery, 825 Mercedes Street, Benbrook.

Pat was born March 23, 1947 in Denver, Colorado. She enjoyed spending her time volunteering for Meals on Wheels with her best friend, Jacquie Messer. Pat was an active member of the Benbrook United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer. She was the founder and first President of the Benbrook Pre-school PTA in 1973 and continued to serve her community volunteering at the food pantry, Relay for Life and many other events. Her biggest love in life was being a Mother and Meme to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat led by example. There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle and always showed love and respect to everyone around her.

Survivors: Pat is survived by her forever love of 50 years, Charles Clayton of Benbrook; their children, Charles “Bubba” L. Clayton of Whitney, Dee Ann and husband, Greg Gibbs of Newcastle, Johnny Duncan of Weatherford and Missy Bransom of Crowley; grandchildren, Danielle Clayton, David Brockman, Caitlin Duncan, Brianne Bransom and Ryan Bransom; and great-grandchildren, Keely, Sal, Andrew, Ryder, Charlie and Billie.
