Patricia Ann Banda

Born in Hereford, TX on December 9, 1936, the oldest child of Lela Verndale Curlee and Morgan Edward Pride.

She grew up in Wheeler, TX, a small town where everyone knows everyone and stays connected for their lifetime. She graduated from Wheeler High School and went to work at the cafe where she learned to make pies, cherry cream, pineapple cream and chocolate which she continued to bake till she couldn’t anymore. They were a favorite for birthdays; holidays and any occasion, and everyone wanted a slice of each to make a banana split. She loved to cook and bake for everyone. Her chocolate cakes were also a big hit for occasions.

She went to college in Denton with friends from Wheeler, back to Wheeler where she met Duane Gordan Trimble from Shamrock, TX and married. They had 5 children: Dianne, Debbie, Donna, James, and Tammye. They moved to Amarillo to raise their family. Their house was always full of friends and cousins, and it was everyone’s favorite house, with music and dancing in the living room to Porter Wagner and American Bandstand, she loved music.

She married FC Banda in 1973 an ordain minister and moved to Garden City, KS, then to Fort Worth, TX. They enjoyed having member of the church over for homemade Mexican food and fellowship.

Patricia always had birthdays, holidays, special occasions, and Sunday dinner cooking for everyone.

She worked for JC Penney’s, Foleys and retired at age 75 from Macy, working in the fragrances department.

She has 5 grandchildren: Jaime, Nick, Morgann, Jacob and Hannah. Six great grandchildren: Peyton, Hudson, Parker, Micheal, Addi, and Joey.

She loved Lifepointe Church and life groups at her home. She loved being at home, especially as she grew older. She loved the Lord, life, and family.

Particia went to be with the Lord, November 15, 2025, and will be missed dearly. She was proceeded in death by her parents, husbands, Duane and F C, brother: Sonny, daughters: Debbie Jo and Tammye.

She is survived by siblings Peggy Campbell, Mickey and Pam Pride, family and in-laws: Lucas, Cypert, Trimble, Healer, Handy, Pacheco and Gibbs.
