FORT WORTH -- Olen Richard Cox, 92, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Montague Cemetery, Montague.
Olen was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Montague to Luther Allen Cox and Ellen B. Hise Cox. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Olen retired from General Dynamics in 1984.
Olen was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Lou Nance Cox; and son, Olen Richard Cox II.
Survivors: Son, Ron Cox and spouse, Shane Frank, of Fort Worth; daughter, Diana McDowell of Springtown; grandchildren, Pamela Maki and spouse, Dave, of San Antonio, Jaclyn Branstetter and spouse, Jeremy, of Springtown, Trevor Wilson of Saginaw, Mich., and Samuel Cox and spouse, Andra, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean McKee of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews.
