Nathan Knox

June 10, 1974 — February 8, 2016

Nathan Wayne Knox, 41, of Benbrook, passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2016.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Annetta Cemetery, Annetta. Memorial visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.
Nathan was born June 10, 1974, in Fort Worth to Larry and Becky Knox. He graduated from Arkansas Baptist High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Nathan grew up partly in Fort Worth and lived most of his teenage and adult life in Little Rock, Ark. He worked for his father in his real estate business for a few years, eventually married and then moved around the U.S. with his wife's profession. He was a day trader with TD Ameritrade for almost five years and eventually had his own business in floral design, Necessary Arrangements, based out of Benbrook.
Nathan enjoyed research in theology. Recently, he enrolled in the online Lay Institute of Dallas Theological Seminary and was contemplating getting into ministry with his testimony.
Despite his many challenges in life, he was a very hands-on, caring, loving and attentive father to his 3-year-old son. John was his pride and joy and pulled his joy from his son. They were best buds.
Nathan was very patriotic and was usually seen watching Fox News or in a deep discussion about politics and the like. As seen and loved by many, Nathan was a very generous man. He gave regularly to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews and contributed to many charitable institutions. He never wanted to be acknowledged by his generosity. He unceasingly supported many who were jailed and even after they left, he contributed to their daily lives until they were back on their feet. He encouraged many people in his life and was a great friend to a few long-lasting friends.
Survivors: His wife of six years, Jasselle; dearly beloved 3- year-old son, John Louis, whom he honorably and lovingly named after his paternal grandfather; parents, Larry and Becky Knox; sister, Amy Hardy of Benbrook; nieces, Haley, Malarie and Sophie; and nephews, Chandler and Alister.
