Nancy Adams

BENBROOK -- Nancy Adams, 68, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, surrounded by family in Fort Worth.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Rd., Benbrook.

Nancy Adams was born July 18, 1946, in Lancaster, Pa., the second of two children to the late John F. and Rebecca Louisa Miller Harnish. Nancy married James Adams in Lancaster, Pa. on Sept. 17, 1966, and their life together began. She made her career with Luther Acres in Lititz, Pa., for many dedicated years before moving to Benbrook in 1997. Nancy loved to read and crochet, and every Christmas would crochet lap rugs to donate to Benbrook Nursing Home. She also loved to travel with Jim and her family, particularly going on cruises.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: Husband, Jim Adams of Benbrook; sons, James Adams Jr. and wife, Jane, and John Adams, all of Granbury; grandsons, Tyler James Adams of Fort Worth and Alex William Adams of Granbury; brother, John Harnish Jr. of Lansdowne, Pa.; numerous aunts; uncles and cousins; faithful dogs, Rocket and Matti; and a host of loving friends.
