Fort Worth, TX – Michael Joseph Pinnau passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 87.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church of the Holy Apostles on July 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. 3900 Longvue Ave. Ft. Worth, TX 76126
Michael was born in Berlin, Germany on March 19, 1938. A survivor of WWII, at age 20, Michael immigrated to the United States in search of a better life. He served in the Unites States Air Force, during which time he was granted citizenship.
Upon leaving the Air Force, Michael began a thirty-eight-year career in the energy industry that enabled him to travel throughout much of the United States with his wife Mia and daughters, Martina and Michele, eventually settling in Ft. Worth.
After the passing of his first wife, Michael met and married Margaret, with whom he spent the remainder of his life. They traveled, played golf, and he dedicated his life to family and church. Michael was very active in his church community, serving in many different capacities, including vestry service and alter service on a daily basis.
Throughout his life, Michael had a tremendous passion for car racing. In his youth, he raced his Austin-Healy “bug-eye” Sprite, as well as a vintage Mini Cooper. In retirement, he actively followed Formula One racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hans and Ursula Pinnau, first wife Mia and grandson Jason Martindale.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, daughter Martina Roberts, daughter Michele Pinnau, sister Monica Meissner, sister Kirsten and husband Sven Massenth, stepdaughter Missy and husband Gerald Dodd, stepdaughter Tara and husband Mike Carleo, grandchildren: Bryce and wife Heidi Martindale, Robyn Martindale, Megan Hunt, Bryan Martindale, Alysa Aeschbacher, Zoe Pinnau, Bella Whitney, George Whitney, Colin Carleo, and eight great grandchildren.
Those who knew him will remember his story telling, the wisdom of his words, his honesty, loyalty and generosity.
