Matthew Wayne Baker, 51, passed away September 30, 2022.

Matthew Wayne Baker was born on September 4, 1971 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Glenn Paul Baker and Dorothy Helen Baker (Peugh). He lived in California on a Naval base for a short stent as a child, but most of his life was spent in Benbrook, Texas. Matt graduated from The University of Texas in Arlington in 1996 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. He worked as a Registered Nurse for many years and was very successful in his field. Matt loved to spend time with his children and grandchild, golfing, trips to the Casino, bowling, watching sports, and fishing/hunting.

Matt is survived by his children, son, Randall James Baker; son, Alexander Wayne Baker and wife, Jessica Marie Baker; and daughter, Sara Elizabeth Baker; grandson, Kyren Kai Nero; brothers, Steve Baker and wife, Judy Baker; and Eric Baker and wife, Brandy Hoesing Baker; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.

Memorial Visitation: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road Benbrook, Texas 76126.  Please feel free to come and go as you please.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make a donation to Matt’s oldest son’s school that helps individuals with special needs, Green Oaks Education and Support, Inc., 500 Houston Street, Arlington, Texas 76011.
