Marlene Sharon Hinrichs, 68, of Fort Worth, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026.
Born on July 7, 1957, in Mound City, Illinois, to Patsy Woods and John Dover, Marlene lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Hinrichs, who passed away in 2019, and brother George Dover.
Marlene is survived by her daughters, Christina Hinrichs and Catherine Duarte; her cherished grandchildren, Hayden and Harper Duarte, Carl Hinrichs and Helen Jordan; She is also survived by her sisters Karen Bray and Angela Williams and many extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Marlene, found greatest joy in caring for the people she loved. She was known for her kind heart, cheerful spirit, and unwavering faith. Family and friends remember her as loving, faithful, generous, joyful, and grateful. She had a gift for making others feel welcome and cared for, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Marlene was a faithful member and bell choir director of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where her Christian faith was a source of strength and purpose throughout her life. She lived her faith through acts of kindness, service, and compassion. Marlene was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church later in life.
Music was also an important part of Marlene's life. A musician herself, she especially enjoyed playing the ukulele and found comfort and happiness in its gentle, uplifting sound.
Those who knew Marlene will remember her not only for what she did, but for how she made people feel—loved, encouraged, and appreciated. Her family is grateful for the many memories they shared with her and for the example of faith, love, and kindness she leaves behind.
Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
