Maralyn S. Foote, 87, formerly of Benbrook, TX, passed away Friday June 12, 2026, at her home with family. Maralyn was born August 6, 1938, in Carmi, Illinois, the daughter of Joe Potts and Margherita (Pope) Potts. She attended Allendale High School and graduated in 1957, then worked as a homemaker. She married Frederic L Foote, and they made their life together until his death on January 16, 1990. She loved to watch professional basketball, especially her Dallas Mavericks.

She is survived by her sons, Brian S. Foote and his wife Linda of Ft Woth TX and Troy L Foote and his wife Helia of Bethel Acres, OK. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren Amanda Foote, Renee Foote, Trey Foote and his wife Hiro two great grandsons Kai and Zach, Patrick Foote and wife Veronica, Emily Foote, Aura Hernandez and husband Cesar two great grandsons Vicente and Leonardo and one great granddaughter Katalina, Maya Holland, Madison Foote, Roman Foote, Scarlet Foote, Titus Foote and Willow Foote, her brother Jerry Potts of Oblong IL and sister Nancy Lane of Newton IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frederic Foote, her parents, one brother Larry Potts, three sisters Lettie Bowe, Katie Osmon, and Nelda Pray.

Graveside services will be held at a future date to be determined at Allendale Illinois cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Frederic.
