Mae Smith

Mae Dell Smith, 95, passed away February 14, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2023,Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas.

Dell was born March 14, 1927, in Electra, Texas.  She moved to Snyder, Texas in 1951, then to Gainesville, and then to Whitesboro in the 1970’s.  In 2012, she moved to Fort Worth and remained there until her passing.

In Snyder she worked at Furr’s Supermarket, then managed the Frontier Stamp Store. Most of her life she was a loving wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother.  Dell loved her church and had so much love for friends and family.

Dell will be missed but always in our hearts.

Dell is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Smith.

Survivors: Dell is survived by her daughter, Jan Torrieri; granddaughter, Stacey Young; grand-son-in-law, Jeff Young; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren Kate, and Kendall; and a loving extended family and friends.
