Lucio "Alex" Alejandro Tello, 37, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018.
Memorial service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.

Alex was born Aug. 24, 1980 in Venezuela. Alex earned a double Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Biology at the University of North Texas, and another Bachelor's degree at Texas Woman's University as a Dental Hygienist. Alex was an athlete. He was full of life with a great sense of humor, making every one laugh, and had an award-winning smile. Alex was a loving son and brother. He was the life of the party and a great dancer. He had a love for aquatics, reptiles, fish, and most importantly, his cat, Venus. But above all he had a passion for volunteering. Alex volunteered tirelessly at homeless shelters, Cooks Children’s Hospital, AIDs clinics, prisons, and anywhere he felt he could make a difference. His family and friends will miss him.
Survivors include his mother, Gladys Tello; father, Lucio Tello and wife, Pattie; sister Katherine Tello; extended families of the Tello and Rangel-Delgado family; and many other family members and friends.
