In Loving Memory of Linda Jo Skinner

Linda Jo Skinner passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at Medical City of Fort Worth. Born on May 9, 1947, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, she was the cherished daughter of Hugh Fulford and Margaret Helms Fulford and one of six siblings in a warm, close-knit family.

Linda met and married the love of her life, Herman Skinner. Together, they built a legacy of love and devotion, raising a family that grew to include children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—all of whom were deeply blessed by her presence, wisdom, and unwavering support.

With a heart for service and a calling to care for others, Linda pursued a career in nursing. She dedicated over 20 years to the profession, serving patients with compassion and excellence in hospitals throughout the Fort Worth area. Her commitment to helping others was evident not only in her professional life but in every aspect of who she was.

A woman of many talents, Linda had a beautiful voice and a gift for playing the piano. She generously shared these gifts with her church, where she was a faithful and devoted Pentecostal member. Her music and ministry touched many lives, bringing comfort, joy, and inspiration.

Linda will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, her deep commitment to her family, and her unmistakable straightforwardness. She spoke with honesty and clarity, always with the intention of guiding and nurturing those around her. Known affectionately as a “mother” to many, both within and beyond her immediate family, Linda’s care extended to anyone who needed support, love, or encouragement.

Her legacy of faith, family, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Margaret Fulford, Best friend Kim Peavy, and Granddaughter Brittney.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Herman Skinner; her children, Scott Ratliff and his wife Sheila, Talbert Trafford and his wife Meghan, Kimberly Arnold, Steve Skinner, wife Tammy, Terry Skinner wife Sylvia, and Tonya Skinner.

She is also survived by her cherished siblings, Peggy Fix, Alice Phillips and Diana Martens and husband Don, a host of beloved grandchildren Jessie, Zachery, Haylee, Walker, Ryann, Brock, Braden, Coleton, Cory, Kaitlynn, Courtney, Bailey, Erin, Chance, and Kylee, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends—all of whom were touched by her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
