Linda Melton Hunt, 66, loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018.
Funeral service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road. Visitation: 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Winscott Road Funeral Home. Burial: Cresson Cemetery, Cresson.
Linda was born on June 24, 1952 in Powderly, Texas to Theo and Juanita Melton. After graduating high school, she began working at Kmart for a number of years. She then started her career at what is now known as Bodycote and retired after 32 years of service. On September 24, 1984 she gave birth to her only child, a daughter named Meghan. Linda was a devoted and loving mother to her only child. She was a loving and kind-hearted person to everyone she met. Linda adored Elvis Presley and her grand-dogs, Cali and Dixon. She worked hard to provide a wonderful life for Meghan and ensured she was raised with good family values. Linda believed in hard work and treating others as you would want to be treated.

Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob and Joe; and her sisters, Martha and Margaret.

Survivors: Linda is survived by her daughter, Meghan and husband, Andy Cox; brother, Scott and wife, Vicki Melton; niece, Debbie and husband, Lonnie Colley; sister-in-law, Pat Melton (Joe's wife); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob and Joe; and her sisters, Martha and Margaret.
