Larry Knight

Lawrence “Larry” Patrick Knight, age 73 of Benbrook, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023.  He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1949, to Donald William, Sr. and Veronica Agnes (Davis) Knight.  Larry was a proud patriot and served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting guns, drag racing, watching “shoot ’em up” movies and golf, taking family pictures, and grilling.  His quick wit was infectious, and his children loved  that he could turn anything into a song.  His “plethora” of “daddy-isms” will live on as part of his legacy through his children and grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and oldest son, David Lawrence Knight.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his three children, Robin Cellini and husband Mike, Danny Knight and wife Brandi, Christie Shefchik and husband John; nine grandchildren, Carley, Brayden, Ryleigh, Molly, Hayley, Ethan, Sam, Ellie and Andrew; siblings, Ronnie Poland, Don Knight, Jr., and Linda Capo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A memorial service is being planned at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas.
