Joyce Copeland

Melba Joyce Copeland, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and longtime nanny, 86 of Fort Worth, TX, passed away on August 25,2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She peacefully met her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving daughters.

Joyce was born on August 10, 1939, in Fort Worth, TX. She married in September, 1955, raised three daughters and then became a nanny to many children. She was loved and became like family to them.

Travel was one of her favorite things to do and she was very proud of the fact she traveled several places by herself in her fifties and sixties. Europe was her favorite and she went there twice.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Doyle Norris and Mary Lucy Norrris and four of her five siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Denise Copeland White and husband Edwin of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Debbie Copeland Henninge and husband Chris of Benbrook, TX; and Dawn Copeland Dille of Donna, TX; grandchildren Joe Lancarte of Fort Worth, TX, Justin Henninge of Fort Worth, TX, Christian Henninge of Fort Worth, TX, Taylor Tellez and wife Charleen of Gatesville, TX, and Courtney Dille of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren Jake, Olivia, Whitney, William and Weston and brother Jerry Norris of Crossville, Tennessee.

Joyce was known for her funny sense of humor and quick wit. She spent as much time as possible with her beloved family.
