Jon Lynch

Jon Cecil Lynch, 83, of Benbrook, and longtime resident of Lubbock, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.
Graveside services: 11:00 a.m., Friday at Benbrook Cemetery, Benbrook, Texas.
Jon was born June 15, 1935 in Lorenzo, Texas to Cecil Doyle Lynch and Bonnie Louise Owens Lynch. He married Gayla Smith in 1956 and they raised two daughters in Lubbock. Jon enjoyed a longtime career selling farm and construction equipment in Lubbock County for over 30 years.
Jon is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Heath Hillin of Austin.
Survivors: He leaves behind his wife and companion of 62 years, Gayla Lynch of Benbrook; daughter, Lisa Lynch of Benbrook; daughter, Teresa Busby of Benbrook; grandson, Brandon Busby of Bronte; granddaughter, Shasta Mills of Fort Worth; four beloved sisters, Saundra Lee, Vera Cox, and Sarah White, all of Lubbock, and Pam Hillin and husband, Billy of Austin; five great-grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
