Johnny Johnson

Johnny Ray Johnson, 87, passed away suddenly on March 22, 2023, after the loss of his wife of 61 years.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., April 22, 2023, First Christian Church of Granbury, 2909 W .U.S. Hwy 377, Granbury, Texas 76048.

Ray was born November 8, 1935, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. He graduated in 1957 with a Bachelor Degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University. On December 30, 1961, he married the love of his life Reba. He worked for PNM until he retired in 1995. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and recent great-great-grandfather.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Reba; parents, Ollis L. and Unice E. Johnson; and brother, Bill Johnson.

He is survived by three sons, David Johnson and wife, Bridget of Benbrook, Texas; John Johnson and wife, Diane of Conchas Dam, New Mexico; and Chris Johnson and wife, Karen of Gypsum, Colorado; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many loving extended family members and friends.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the First Christian Church of Granbury, or a charity of your choice.
