Joann Lawson

JoAnn Lawson, 81, gained her angel wings on November 25, 2020 in Benbrook, Texas.

JoAnn was born April 2, 1939 to Oscar H. and Mary L. Gray. She was a devoted wife, mother, and nanny who loved spending time with family and friends. JoAnn retired from Lockheed Martin.

She touched the lives of so many and will be missed. It is said that a mother holds the hands of her children and grandchildren for a little while, but their hearts forever. This is especially true for JoAnn. There is so much to say about the life of JoAnn and so little time to say it. Those of us that were closest to her -- her family, and her friends, knew and loved her dearly.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Harry V. Lawson and Billy Ray Malcolm.

Survivors: Sons, Roy Lawson, Harry Lawson and Scott Freeman; daughters, Brenda K. Grace and Brenda Champion; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
