Joan Ann Howard

Our dear mother, Joan Howard, departed from us on March 26, 2025, at the age of 95 after a lengthy illness.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, our father, Joseph Howard and will be interred with him at the Arlington National Cemetery. She was a strong, supportive woman who as a military wife, traveled the world and made a home for her family wherever we were.

She leaves behind two daughters, Cheryl Christianson, and Janet Blakely, along with sons-in-law, James Christianson, and Tom Blakely; grandson, Brad Christianson and wife, Alane Ballweg; granddaughters, Mary Blakely, and Katherine Blakely and fiance’ Josh Ogrey.

Her visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 2-4:00 p.m. at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas 76126.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
