Janis Kimbrough Roth

Janis Anne Kimbrough Roth, 79, peacefully passed from this world into the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 25, 2024, while surrounded by family and friends. 

Jan was born November 11, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas and lived a full life of service and devotion. She brought joy to all who knew her and never met a stranger. “Glad to know you!” she would always say.  And she truly meant it.  She absolutely loved being in the kitchen and would generously share her favorite dishes and tasty treats with others far and wide. Outside the home, she was an Executive Administrator employed in the healthcare industry, primarily in Senior Living. She was a beautiful Christian and lovingly served in her local church and beyond. She kept her unwavering faith through both trials and triumphs, holding fast to gratitude and her trust in the promises of God. She was a tender and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend and will be so very missed.  But we need only look into the smile of a stranger, and we will find her there.  

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, James Weldon Kimbrough, and Dorothy Llewellyn Spain Kimbrough. She is survived by her only child, daughter, Amy Henss (and husband, Michael); grandson, Parker Henss (and wife, Brooke); granddaughter, Lily Henss; and her beloved

 sister, Gayle Tewes (and husband, Harven); along with many nieces, nephews, and precious friends. 

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook, Texas. Graveside Services: 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1st at Benbrook Cemetery, 825 Mercedes Street, Benbrook, Texas.
