James Barry

James K. "Jim" Barry, 68, passed away Sept. 19, 2017.
Funeral service: 6:30 p.m., Thursday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook. Visitation: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday. Graveside service: 11:00 a.m., Friday in Emory City Cemetery, Emory.
Honorary pallbearers: Bill Vaughn, James Harmon, Rusty Herring, Lonnie Bergman, Leon Doneski, and Dennis Holbrook.
Jim was born Oct. 20, 1948 in Fort Worth to Marion Henry Barry and Dorothy Emma Johnson Barry. He attended Tarleton State University. Jim retired after 27 years service with Southwestern Bell, and lived in Fort Worth all his life.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Marion Hugh Barry.
Survivors: Loving wife of 33 years, Joy Barry; son, John Keith Barry and wife, Cathy; son, Matthew Ray Barry; and grandson, Joshua Kole Barry.
