Jacob Dwight Farren, 41, passed away July 14, 2023, in Arizona.
Jacob was born July 3, 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He lived most of his life in Cresson, Texas until the call of the wild started his travels to Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Montana, and finally Arizona, where he spent his last days.
He loved hiking the mountains and exploring nature and this is where he was the happiest. His dream was always to be a mountain man and he fulfilled it. Jacob was an avid reader who loved history books, religious books, and his favorite westerns were Louis L’amour. The favorite part of his travels was when he would run across a place that was mentioned in the Louis L’amour books. He was a much-loved young man who will be missed terribly.
Jacob is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary and Emitt Farren; grandparents, Joan and Richard Oughton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Survivors are his parents, Lawrence and Beverly Farren; sister, Ryann Paschal; brother-in-law, Brody Paschal; sister, Lauren Farren; brother, Joshua Farren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services: 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fort Worth. Burial following at Cresson Cemetery, Cresson, Texas.
