Hubert Chase

Hubert L. Chase, 85, of Aledo, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 in Autumn Leaves Memory Care in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 in Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Honorary pallbearers: John Chase, Brian Chase, David Chase, Marty Stenzler, Bradley Drake, and Cody Maxwell.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Humane Society of North Texas or a charity of your choice.
Hubert was born in Missouri on January 12, 1933, to Lewis Hezekiah and Hazel Chase of Goodman, Missouri. Hubert served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Merchant Marine. Following his service, he attended Texas Christian University and spent his accounting career at General Dynamics, which took him around the world, but his true passion was outside of work. He was a Master Mason of Southside Lodge #1114 and a member of the Moslah Shriners, and enjoyed tending to his ranch, which was a labor of love for him and his wife, Margaret, who preceded him in death. Hubert got great pleasure from helping other people, whether family, friends, neighbors or even strangers, as well as caring for animals of all kinds -- but a chance to spend time with children and babies always brought a bright smile to his face. He cherished spending time with his fiancée, Sonya Stenzler, and they especially loved the summers at their Colorado cabin.
Survivors include his son, John Chase and wife, Pam; loving fiancée, Sonya Stenzler and her family; two grandsons, Brian Chase and wife, Terri and David Chase and wife, Misty; and five great-grandchildren, Aby, Austin, Andrew, Ryan and Caroline. He was beloved by all in Sonya’s family, where he is survived by her children, grandchildren, four great-granddaughters, and one great-grandson, Jackson.
