Harroll "Hal" Foster Harbuck, 91, passed away March 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Oh What A Life!

Hal was born in Houston, Texas to Thelma and James Maxwell Harbuck, aka Mimmie and Baba. Hal lived in Muskogee, Oklahoma and Galveston, Texas before moving to Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Northside High School in Fort Worth where he set the state record for the 100 yard dash and was the Texas State tennis champion.

Hal married Sylvia Richerson in 1958 and moved to Lubbock, Texas.

Hal was a regional sales manager for Central Airlines. He was the consummate salesman and promoter and he eventually landed in Liberal, Kansas where he opened the regional hub for Central. As a promotion for Central Airlines, Hal and his crew set the world record for flying around the world back in 1964.

Although, Hal loved the airline business, he hit the air waves as he was asked to become the manager of KLIB Radio in Liberal. KLIB was the top rated station in the southwest. Hal later became a stockbroker for Western Trio Cattle Company in Guymon, Oklahoma.

Hal and Sylvia started and sold a number of businesses in their 20 years in Liberal. They eventually moved back to their home town of Fort Worth, Texas. Back home, Hal retired and watched his three boys, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren go and grow.

Hal is preceded in death by his parents, James Maxwell Harbuck and Zora Thelma Harbuck; his older brother E.L. Harbuck; his twin brother Carroll Harbuck; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his oldest grandson, Joshua Jolly Harbuck.

Hal is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years Sylvia; son, Hal Harbuck Junior and his family; son, Barry Harbuck and his family; and son, Craig Harbuck and his family.
